Class Recitals

All grade levels with have class recitals during their last music class before winter break.  This is an opportunity for students to share music that they work on outside of the classroom.  Students must take private lessons on their instrument to share with the class (i.e...piano lessons).  Students who sing in outside choruses (i.e...church, community choirs) may also share a song with the class.  Band and Orchestra students are welcome to share with the class.  Students may use my piano or guitar, otherwise they must bring in their own instrument to school that day.

This is entirely optional!  No one has to perform but it is a great opportunity to share musical talent with the class.  The schedule is as follows...

Veteran's Day

Congratulations to all Gombert Gators on a fantastic Veteran's Day Assembly on November 10th!  The third graders performed their musical very well, with enthusiasm and sincerity.  The entire school honored our Veterans with their singing of Star Spangled Banner, Teach Me About My Freedom, and Armed Forces Salute.  Follow this link for an article in the Naperville Sun covering the performance.

Third grade is getting geared up for their musical "Freedom" on November 18th.  Click on the Third Grade link in the left hand column to get more information!

Off to a Great Start...

School is now in session and we're off to a great start here at Gombert!  To find out what your student has been up to in their general music class, click on the link to the left listed by grade level.  There you will find updated information on what curriculum has been covered most recently in class.

Welcome Back to School!

Pencils are being sharpened, backpacks filled, and thoughts of school days are drawing near.  Welcome back to all of you Gators!  I am so excited to start my fifth year at Gombert, preparing for a full year of musical fun.  To those Gators who have moved on to middle school and high school, good luck to you as well, and be sure to come by and say Hello!
