Curriculum Night is coming up on Thursday, September 15th, from 6:30-8:00pm.  I will be walking around the LMC to answer questions about the music program.  See you there!

Orientation

Thank you to all of you who attended band, orchestra, and chorus orientation last night.  I hope that you gained some insight into the district's music program.  As a reminder, Prelude for band and orchestra has already begun and chorus begins on Tuesday, September 13th.

Parents of fourth and fifth graders interested in the District 204 Band, Orchestra, and/or Choral music program should plan to attend the appropriate parent orientation.  Individual questions will follow the general presentation.

Identical presentations will take place at the same time at Neuqua and Metea Valley High School for your convenience.  Parents may attend at any of the locations., although I will only be attending the Waubonsie session.

Welcome Back

Welcome back!  I am so excited to dive into a new musical year at Gombert, featuring a variety of shows and concerts.  Stay on the lookout for chorus sign-ups for fourth and fifth graders.  Click on the grade level links on the left to read an overview of the music curriculum.  Monthly updates will be added to keep you informed of the many exciting things going on in the music room.

A Close to the Year

Thank you to Miss Walsh who has taken over for me these past couple of months as I've been out on maternity leave.  My son, Cole August, was born on March 23, 2011.  He has been an absolute joy!!!

I look forward to seeing all of my students again in the fall.  For my lovely, talented fifth graders, good luck on your entrance into middle school.  I will miss you all!  Please come back and visit any time.
